Our Mission Story

The Jackson County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit, membership-based organization.
The mission of the Jackson County VOAD is to coordinate local voluntary
organizations and unaffiliated individuals to provide assistance during times of
disaster.
The Jackson County VOAD focuses on enhancing communication and
collaboration between volunteers to ensure effective disaster response. By sharing valuable information, we aim to create a strong network of support.

Organizations and individuals are encouraged to provide annual sponsorship of the VOAD to help offset the annual cost of operations. Doing so ensures that the VOAD can continue to provide disaster relief and community support services to Jackson County. Sponsorships directly enable us to respond quickly and effectively in times of need.
